New Promotional Piece at North Park Main Street!

A7D Graphic Design & Printing, dressed up the store front window of the North Park Main Street office this week, by applying vinyl lettering to promote the revamped Farmers’ Market.

In addition to the new window sign, 90 or so Farmers’ Market banners were installed throughout the District and A7D Graphic Design launched the North Park Farmers’ Market website earlier this month.

SD Weekly Markets & North Park Main Street have exciting plans for the Market, in the coming months. For up to date Market information, follow @SDMarkets on Twitter or Facebook.

2010 Taste of North Park Logo

2009, was the first year of the Taste of North Park… met with a huge response! The streets were bustling with eager “Tasters” indulging on nibbles from San Diego’s Finest Restaurants.

With the 2010 Taste of North Park only months away, a fresh color palette is being discussed. Below are a few choices that were sent to the “Powers that Be”!

Channel Islands, Road Trip!

We headed North this weekend to one of home towns, to go sailing on the Bill of Rights a Tall Ship, based in Channel Islands Harbor.

This tall ship reaches 137′ and is ran by the Tall Ship Institute, a Non-Profit group dedicated connecting the youth to our environment, through curriculum based marine science, history and social science programs, multi day educational programs, and boat building programs.

My dad has been volunteering with the crew for a year now and has nothing but amazing stories of the crew and the programs offered to teens. The main focus of the Bill of Rights/America Tall Ship Institute is to encourage positive youth and community development through environmentally aware, curriculum based, ocean centered programs. Click here for more information.

These programs are funded in part by weekend sails and gracious donations.donations.

If you have the opportunity, the drive up the California Coast is worth a day on the Bill of Rights.

Mission Accomplished!

With much success, David and I managed to take a weekend to ourselves and just enjoy our house and our dogs!

Life moves so fast, especially when you own your own business… sometimes there is no down time. But for one weekend, we took full advantage of our home and just allowed ourselves to “Be Home”.

Saturday, we started off at the Little Italy Farmers Market… like little kids gathering our treats for the day!

A Tri-Tip and fresh Summer Squash were our feast for Day 1 of Operation “Relaxation”! Then off to Iowa Meats for our 4th of July Rib Fiesta! A quick stop at Home Depot for a couple small backyard projects we had in mind and then “Home, Sweet Home”!

Not sure who enjoyed our weekend more, us, our dogs or our Hummingbird friend that managed to keep our attention each day. It was amazing, he/she would come within inches of us. It was stunning to watch this little creature…

After a long weekend, I feel refreshed and so Creative!

4th of July Weekend!

Many of you are sneaking out of work early today, to get a jump start on this holiday weekend! Living in San Diego, we’re in minutes of a weekend filled with sweet libations, sunshine and miles of beaches… Gotta Love this City!

We’ll be starting our weekend at the Little Italy Farmers Market, De-La Farms has the “BEST” Tri-Tip and I can’t wait for our BBQ weekend, to relax and have a little time with our dogs.

We have two Vizsla’s, our male Taro is such a good sport… I think he really likes the silly items I find to dress him up in! Don’t worry I’m not one to take him out in public wearing a tu-tu! Could you imagine?

Wishing everyone a safe, healthy 4th of July weekend!

El Take It Easy…

Opening of El Take It Easy in North Park

Last night was 30th on 30th in North Park, we started the evening at Urban Solace for a tasty Green Gazpacho with a Roasted Shrimp bite then to the Opening of El Take It Easy! We arrived just in time for a wonderful speech by Liz Studebaker and Councilmember Todd Gloria.

El Take It Easy is the newest addition to Restaurant Row, offering small plates with a neighborhood cantina flare. The Summer Squash Tostada was awesome!

With a three day weekend approaching, its the perfect time to grab your bike and explore North Park.
